Responsibilities of an Event Designer cum Sales 1. Design Responsibilities a. Creative Conceptualization • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, themes, and design preferences for events. • Develop unique and visually compelling concepts for events, including layouts, color schemes, and decor. • Create mood boards, sketches, and design proposals to present to clients and internal teams. b. Graphic and Visual Design • Design event materials such as banners, invitations, stage backdrops, signage, and branding. • Develop 3D renderings or mock-ups to visualize event spaces and designs for client approval. • Ensure all design elements align with client branding and event objectives. c. On-Site Design Execution • Oversee the installation and setup of event decor, props, and branding materials. • Ensure design elements are implemented as planned and meet the highest quality standards. • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless integration of design with logistics. 2. Sales Responsibilities a. Proposal and Negotiation • Draft comprehensive event proposals, including design concepts, service packages, and cost breakdowns. • Negotiate pricing and terms to achieve a win-win agreement with clients. • Upsell additional services such as premium decor, branding opportunities, or extended event packages. b. Relationship Management • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals. • Act as the main point of contact, ensuring a smooth flow of communication throughout the sales and event design process. • Conduct post-event follow-ups to gather feedback, strengthen client relationships, and explore future opportunities. • Maintain accurate records of sales leads, proposals, and client interactions. 3. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work closely with the marketing team to promote design and event services effectively. • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. • Partner with the operations team to align sales promises with event execution capabilities. ________________________________________ 4. Key Skills Required • Strong understanding of event design principles and sales strategies. • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator [AI]). • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. • Ability to balance creative and business priorities effectively. • Creativity and a strong eye for detail. • Problem-solving skills, especially under time constraints.
