Safety Health Officer Join JALEX GROUP OF COMPANIES, a leading organization specializing in interior fit out and construction. We are looking for an experienced Safety Health Officers committed to creating a safe and sustainable work environment for all our employees and stakeholders. Roles and Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA standards or relevant regional laws. Identify potential workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement corrective measures to mitigate risks. Develop and conduct safety training programs for employees to promote a culture of safety and awareness. Lead investigations into workplace accidents, identify root causes, and propose preventive measures. Oversee the health surveillance program and ensure proper health standards are maintained on-site. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance and recommend improvements. Maintain and update all safety documentation, reports, and records accurately and in a timely manner. Develop and implement emergency response procedures and conduct drills as required. Work closely with site supervisors, project managers, and Clients / Consultants/Main Contractors / Authorities to ensure safety protocols are integrated into daily operations. Education and Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field. Registered with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) or equivalent local authority. NEBOSH Certificate, OSHA Certification, or other relevant safety certifications is highly preferred. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in construction, manufacturing, or relevant industry as a Safety Health Officer. First Aid and CPR Certification is an advantage. Skills and Competencies: Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to train and guide staff effectively. Attention to detail and ability to identify and mitigate risks. Proactive and problem-solving abilities to address safety issues promptly. Good organizational skills for maintaining documentation and records. Leadership skills for fostering a safety-first culture and ensuring compliance. Physical stamina to perform site inspections in various work environments.
