D1- Manager, Audit and Assurance (MY)
Location: Penang, Malaysia
Salary: RM9,000
Responsibilities
- Execute audit procedures aligned with audit plans and Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSAs).
- Draft financial statements in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
- Apply strong technical expertise in audit and assurance methodologies, preferably with experience in international and Singapore clients.
- Manage audit engagements, including:
- Engagement planning.
- Analysis of controls and processes.
- Preparing and reviewing audit documentation, management letters, and reports.
- Monitoring engagement progress against budgets and timelines.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships, identifying business development opportunities.
- Mentor and develop team members by sharing knowledge and providing opportunities for technical competency development.
- Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory updates impacting the business.
- Foster an engaging work environment to uphold the firm’s standards for quality, client service, employee development, and financial objectives.
- Supervise team members' work, ensuring compliance with audit methodology and timely delivery of engagements.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and offer on-the-job training.
- Ensure quality assurance for audit files.
- Confidently lead a client portfolio, engaging with lead partners as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with professional certifications such as CA (Singapore), ACCA, ICAEW, or CPA.
- At least 5 years of experience in external audit and assurance, including a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams and clients.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of MAS compliance for financial institutions (excluding banks and insurance) is advantageous.
- Proven ability to supervise staff and lead projects, with international team leadership experience preferred.
- Exceptional client service and communication skills, including strong verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple engagements and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
- Proficient in technical accounting standards such as SFRS, SSA, IFRS, and US GAAP.
- Familiarity with tools like Caseware, Python, and UiPath is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to RM9,000.00 per month
