Project Sales Engineer
Position Overview:As a Project Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in bolstering our company’s sales. Your oversight will extend across delivering proof of concepts, interactions with potential/ existing customers to retain/grow client pools as well as to keep track on deliverables by our colleagues when carrying out projects/sales. Given that your role has a global scope, you will need the flexibility to work varying hours to cover different time zones. Key Responsibilities: 1. Preparing and developing technical presentations to explain our company’s products or services to customers. 2. Discussing equipment needs and system requirements with customers and engineers. 3. Understand customer demands and requirements and offer sales support whenever necessary. 4. Generating high quality sales leads, following up after initial contact, securing and renewing orders, negotiating prices, and completing sales. 5. Helping customers who have problems with installed/ existing products and recommending improved or upgraded materials and machinery/ plan for modifications to products to meet consumer demands. Being able to explain how the improvement can be more effective for customers. 6. Soliciting and logging client feedback and evaluating the data to create new sales and marketing strategies to target customers. 7. Identifying areas for improvement and communicating these issues as well as possible solutions to upper management. 8. Setting and achieving sales goals and quotas. 9. Fluent with technical aspects of the company’s products and services. 10. Follow through with ongoing projects and ensure timeline/ deliverables are up to customer’s requirements set beforehand.
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, or related field.
2. Experienced in sales and the technology field.
3. Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills.
4. Good presentation skills and ability to convey product value.
5. The ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers.
6. Excellent adaptability, technical and problem-solving skills.
7. Good team working skills, within or outside of the internal team.
8. Eagerness to improve on sales and engineering skills.
