An assistant supervisor serves as a department's second in command, supporting the primary supervisor with day-to-day management and administrative functions. Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers.
Requirements
- At least 1 years experience as Assistant Supervisor in F&B industry.
- Looking for Malaysian only.
- Experienced in supervisor role.
- Familiarity with F&B outlet operations and food safety protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and team collaboration skills.
- Hospitality qualifications or relevant training are an advantage.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Responsibility
- Ensures that goals and targets set for the restaurant are achieved through proper adherence to operational standards and policies.
- Checks and monitors level of stocks available for the restaurant to use and efficiently forecasts usage and request of such items.
- Supervise and direct the conduct of processes involved to efficiently undertake food service and outlet maintenance.
- Monitor, direct and render support to efficiently manage the traffic of dining customers with the least complaints as possible.
- Ensures to provide the Floor Manager all pertinent operational data in order to aid Floor Manager in analyzing status of and performance of the restaurant.
- Proposes and implement approved strategies to designed to improve operation and increase revenues of the restaurant.
- Ensure that service standards are met, and service sequence of the restaurant is followed.
- Assist in validating operational reports and data prior to submission to the Floor Manager.
- Conducts and facilitates restaurant briefings in the absence of the Floor Manager.
- Ensure that cashiering and POS transactions are carried out with integrity and preciseness.
- Monitor, check, control, analyse supplies consumptions and properly seeks approval of the floor manager for replenishment of these items.
- Coordinates with respective department representative to facilitate supplies requisition.
- Participates in the conduct of month end inventory checking.
- Assist in defining and setting performance standards and provide inputs for evaluation performance.
- Provides recommendation in staff movement such as but not limited to promotions, transfers, terminations and the like.
- Ensure that schedules are properly planned, taking in consideration of the critical hours and days of operations.
- Promotes and ensures adherence of all team members to the Company’s code of discipline.
- Ensure that all memorandum and information published by the management are properly cascaded to the team members.
- Properly handle and take appropriate and prompt actions on guest request and complaints and ensure to escalate such matter to the Floor Manager when necessary.
- Properly observes procedures on handling lost and found items.
- Observed measures for ensuring safety, security and sanitation within area of responsibility.
- Clarify feedback, relay, coordinate and respond promptly and accordingly.
- Observed, apply, coordinate and cooperate in the implementation of Health, Safety and Sanitation related programs and exercise.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the Management from time to time.
