About the role
What you need to know:
1. Responsible for processing reinsurance payable and receivable with accuracy, timely, and compliant with local and overseas regulations and client policies and standards. This includes:
Assemble and review invoices to be completed for payment.
Prepare Payment Requisition including account coding per accounting policies and procedures.
Control treaty closing and make adjustment if any.
Prepare debit note/credit note and send to counterparties and follow up debt.
Issue journal voucher and match-off transactions in an accounting system
Prepare intercompany reports and others.
Handle service claims settlement and other activities.
Process incoming fund for reinsurance, confirm fund with treasury team, provide details for issue cashier receipt and match off transaction in an accounting system
Guide/share knowledge and experience to underwriter for reinsurance record and treatment.
Prepare reports for the regulator
2. Performs, reconciles, and submits all taxes (VAT, withholding tax) related to payment.
3. Responsible for all accounts reconciliation related to intercompany, reinsurance and others.
4. Participate/support in new / special / complex projects or assignments, e.g. Finance transformation.
What we’re looking for:
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
More than 1 year of relevant experience in Reinsurance or Finance, preferably in an insurance company.
Business level for written/spoken both Thai and English.
Familiarity with Thailand’s indirect taxes, taxes on foreign payments
Good Interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees, superiors, and external parties.
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
Well planned, organized with keen attention to detail.
Basic computer skills with prior experience working with accounting software and MS Office i.e. Excel and Word
