Job Description

  • Provide technical support to staff and teachers by troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Manage and resolve IT-related inquiries, including directing them to the appropriate departments or resources.
  • Assist with the setup, installation, and maintenance of computer systems, networks, and software applications.
  • Monitor and maintain the school's IT infrastructure, ensuring all systems are running smoothly.
  • Document and maintain an inventory of IT equipment, software, and licenses.
  • Assist with troubleshooting network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, internet access, and other technical systems.
  • Provide training and support to users on new software, applications, and technologies.
  • Ensure all IT equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and organized.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to any IT-related inquiries, offering solutions and support when required.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining virtual learning platforms and communication tools.

Job Requirements

  • Educational Background: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. A degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, MacOS), networking, hardware troubleshooting, and knowledge of IT support tools. Experience with common office software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia are essential.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues, offering clear and concise solutions to users.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple IT-related tasks efficiently, prioritize workloads, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, students, and parents from diverse backgrounds.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to handle IT issues as they arise and adapt to new technologies.
  • Professionalism: A professional demeanor, with a strong focus on customer service, discretion, and reliability in handling confidential information.
