Job Summary:
We are looking for a creative and skilled Interior Designer to join our team in the furniture manufacturing sector. In this role, you will design interior spaces and furniture pieces, working closely with the production team to ensure that the designs are functional, modern, and aligned with client needs. You will help bring furniture ideas to life, making sure they meet current trends and can be easily produced.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Furniture and Interiors:
  • Create design concepts for furniture and interiors that are both stylish and functional.
  • Ensure designs are modern and reflect current trends in the furniture industry.
  • Select materials, finishes, and colors that suit the design and are practical for production.
  • Work with the Production Team:
  • Collaborate with the production team to make sure your designs can be manufactured efficiently.
  • Provide clear design instructions and specifications for custom or modified furniture pieces.
  • Client Consultation:
  • Meet with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Present design ideas and get feedback to adjust designs as needed.
  • Use Design Software:
  • Use and have Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
  • Ensure Quality:
  • Work with the production team to make sure the final product meets design standards and is high quality.
  • Check finished products to ensure they match the design and are ready for delivery.
  • Stay Updated on Trends:
  • Research and keep up with the latest trends in furniture design and interior decorating to ensure your designs are modern and relevant.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1- 3 years of experience in interior design, ideally with a focus on furniture design or manufacturing.
  • Skills:
  • Experience using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp).
  • Ability to design furniture and interiors that are both stylish and functional.
  • Good understanding of modern design trends.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing previous interior design or furniture design work.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel for client meetings or site visits as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
