Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and review of monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, consolidation worksheet and schedules
  • Develop, implement and monitor financial strategies and controls to ensure financial stability and growth
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial data and in compliance with accounting standards, regulations and company policies
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with other departments to align financial goals with overall business objectives
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and improve profitability
  • Prepare Annual Tax Computation
  • Being the key person to liaise with bankers, lawyers, company secretary and other professionals for the administration of loans
  • Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues, ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations
  • Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring that all financial practices meet industry standards and legal requirements
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial plans that support the company’s strategic objectives
  • Provide key financial insights and recommendations to senior management to improve operational efficiency and maximise profitability
  • Assist in preparation of Board Papers for any corporate exercises to be undertaken by the Company and preparation of minutes for the management meetings

About You:

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Able to speak in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
  • 8 – 12 years of experience in financial management
  • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions
