Job description

The HR Executive - Learning & Development will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating learning and development (L&D) programs to enhance employee skills, ensure compliance with industry standards, and support the organization’s strategic goals. The role will focus on building a competent and engaged workforce to meet the unique challenges of the construction industry.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

  • Conduct assessments to identify skill gaps across all levels of the workforce.
  • Collaborate with department heads and project managers to align training programs with operational and strategic goals.
  • Develop, deliver, or coordinate technical and soft skills training, including safety, compliance, and project management.
  • Customize training content to cater to construction industry needs, such as equipment handling, site management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Source and manage external training providers, if necessary.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Facilitate leadership development programs to prepare high-potential employees for future roles.
  • Support career pathing and succession planning initiatives.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and team-building activities to foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Ensure all training programs comply with local labor laws, safety regulations, and industry certifications (e.g., OSHA, CIDB).
  • Maintain accurate records of employee training and certifications. • Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and technical experts to integrate L&D into day-to-day operations.
  • Prepare regular reports on L&D activities, participation, and ROI for management review.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in an HR or L&D role, preferably within the construction, engineering, or industrial sector.
  • Knowledge of construction safety standards, labor laws, and compliance training is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse workforce levels.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning
