JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; additional certifications (e.g., Bar qualification, LLM) are advantageous.
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in litigation, corporate and/or commercial law, preferably within a multinational corporation or law firm.
- Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating contracts, corporate governance, and compliance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong ethical standards and a proactive approach to legal matters.
- Proficient in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office application; PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in the interpretation and application of legal frameworks relevant to the organization’s operations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents, including service agreements, joint ventures, and partnership agreements.
- Ensure contracts are aligned with the organization’s policies and protect its interests.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the organization and ensure compliance.
- Identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks to safeguard the organization's interests.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of corporate governance documentation, including board resolutions, minutes, and policies.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for the company and its subsidiaries.
- Assist in managing disputes, including liaising with external counsel and preparing for litigation or arbitration.
- Provide legal support in internal investigations and audits.
- Work closely with various internal departments to align legal strategies with business objectives.
- Act as a liaison with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies as required.
- Support the Group Legal team in developing and implementing legal strategies and processes.
- Provide training and updates to employees on legal and regulatory matters as needed.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks related to legal matters as and when requested.

Pay: RM3,400.00 - RM4,100.00 per month
