Job Title: English Language & Literature Teacher Dedicated, adaptable, and resourceful English Language and Literature teacher with over 5+ years combined experience teaching and tutoring online and physically. Flexible in customizing lessons for individual learners and differentiating instruction for larger cohorts to ensure development of communicative and academic language proficiency for diverse learner groups with needs in both First and Second Language English. Key Responsibilities: Planning and delivering engaging English lessons with focus on developing skills for appropriate language use, accuracy and literacy in both L1 and L2 learners. Adapt teaching methods, testing strategies and differentiated instructional practices aligned with curricular needs of standardized international examinations (Cambridge/ EDEXCEL/ National Syllabi). Foster an inclusive environment in the classroom with priority for active participation, critical thinking and inquiry, and collaborative and respectful dialogue. Use varied and interactive teaching aids including visuals, formative assessment tasks, group and individual activities, and situational, real-world scenarios for transferring and practicing skills. Pursue opportunities for research within the field of Language Education by undertaking action research in the classroom and contributing to scholarly literature. Ensure students are motivated to value learning of English Language or Literature as building necessary skills for success in academics and the workplace. Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, seminars or webinars, and training sessions to stay updated on effective and appropriate pedagogical practices for learning English Language and Literature at both L1 and L2 levels. Qualifications: Minimum degree level: Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature, Education or related field. Essential credentials: Candidates must have TEFL/ TESOL/ CELTA certifications if degree is not in language-related fields. Field of study: Degrees in English Language, English Literature, or Education are strongly preferred. Language proficiency: Native-level proficiency in English Language (CEFR Level: C2). Advantageous certifications: Professional development courses in English Language or Literature and education. Knowledge of and experience with standardized curricula (Cambridge/ EDEXCEL) preferred. Candidates maintaining ongoing professional development workshops, courses, or seminars in education are preferred.
