  • Cutting, grinding, and preparing meats and other related products (e.g sausages and marinated meats) for sale.
  • Receive and inspect deliveries of meat to ensure that they adhere to the highest quality standards and are not expired.
  • Ensure FIFO (First in First Out) & FEFO (First Expiry First Out) principles are applied in the cold room and normal chiller display through daily inspection on the expiry dates and freshness of the products.
  • Weighing, packaging, pricing, and displaying products.
  • Performing quality inspections on meats and other products.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the butchery section, storage area and equipment to ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation controls and company SOPs.
  • Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
  • Monitor the temperature of the refrigerator and updating the temperature sheet on daily basis to ensure IT is at the correct temperature.
  • Greeting and speaking to customers, providing advice, answering questions, and accepting orders
  • Coordinating deliveries or order pickups
  • Ability to use knives, saws, grinders, and other cutting tools safely and effectively.
  • Proven experience as a butcher or in meat preparation is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum education; SPM or diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to work 6 days a week, shift-based schedule.
