We are looking for motivated, passionate, and talented FPGA Development Tools Engineer to join our SoC FPGA Linux driver development and technology pathfinding team. We're a strong, vibrant cross-site team which helps drive Intel's SoC FPGA software solution. In this role, you will need skills to dive deep into development of Linux driver, and Linux Kernel's interacting with ARM and FPGA through bootloader using Yocto Project. You will have an excellent opportunity to deliver the next generation of embedded solutions. In this position, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Owning Linux drivers and application for some of IP such as Timers, Watchdog, UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet, Storage devices, FPGA bridges and Arm Sub-system and boot flows etc.. from Design, implementation, unit testing and release. - Owning Yocto recipe and build enhancement for overall Arm based HPS in FPGA - Ensuring delivering world class quality software that meets all the open source requirement for upstreaming and Intel quality requirement - Knowledge of secure code development and security threat mitigation technique. - Bootstrap key customers with reference designs which include Linux and bootloaders - Supporting embedded Arm in FPGA and platform solutions in embedded, networking and/or communications market. You must possess a Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Additional qualifications include: - More than 8 years of working experience in a software development environment including a strong knowledge of operating systems architecture with both Linux kernel and user space experience and Yocto Project. - Demonstrated technical development and leadership in software development projects. - Familiarity with various software development tools such as source control, CICD, defect management, static analysis. - Ability to work independently and interdependently effectively. - Good communication skills and Strong analytical, strategic thinking skills. - Ability to work from Software Functional Design, implementation and release. - Working knowledge in C/C++ programming, Linux Driver and application development. - Reputable experience and understanding with the Open Source Community and open source software development - Working knowledge in Linux driver development for ARM and x86 Architecture
