ASSISTANT CHEF (SHAWARMA SANDWICH FOOD TRUCK)

We are seeking a talented and versatile Assistant Chef to join our growing team. As an Assistant Chef, you will be a key player in our shawarma sandwich food truck, if you love creating delicious meals and interacting with customers, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Job Description: • Prepare and assemble shawarma sandwiches based on customer preferences (similar to a Subway-style topping selection). • Grill and cook shawarma to perfection on the pan. • Ensure food quality, cleanliness, and hygiene standards are consistently met. • Handle cashier duties, including taking orders, processing payments, and managing transactions. • Assist in restocking ingredients and maintaining inventory on the truck. • Assist with the daily setup and breakdown of the food truck, including preparing the cooking area and cleaning up after service and drive the food truck to various locations (if you possess a valid GDL license). Requirements: • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in food preparation, kitchen work, or a related field. • Strong multitasking skills and the ability to manage both food preparation and customer interactions efficiently. • Friendly and professional demeanour with excellent customer service skills. • Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in food handling. • A valid GDL license is highly preferred (an additional RM1000 salary for GDL holders). • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings. Salary Package: • RM2500 for non-GDL holders. • RM3500 for GDL holders.
