JOB SUMMARY: The Account Assistant provides essential support to the accounting department by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and performing administrative duties. This role requires strong numerical skills, attention to detail and proficiency in accounting systems. KEY DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES: 1) Financial Record Maintenance: • Record daily financial transactions, including payments, receipts and invoices. • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and filing systems. 2) Accounts Payable and Receivable: • Process accounts payable, including verifying invoices and issuing payments. • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments. 3) Reconciliation: • Reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and other financial records. • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts. 4) Data Entry: • Assists in preparing financial reports, summaries and statements. • Provide data to support audits and financial analysis. 5) Administrative Duties: • Respond to inquiries from vendors, clients and internal teams. • Assist in managing petty cash and other financial transactions.
