List of tasks/ Responsibilities:- • Assist the Technical Track Specialist and Track Technical Manager in planning and executing rail inspection and shifting tasks. • Coordinate with team members and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks. • Ensure that all safety measures and protection protocols are implemented and adhered to for maintaining a safe track environment. • Perform regular checks to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. • Inspect new and existing rails, marking them for cutting, alignment, and rehabilitation purposes. • Measure track distances and heights to verify correct installation and alignment. • Inspect tracks for defects using visual assessments and specialized equipment. • Report identified defects and oversee their timely rectification. • Conduct inspections post-adverse weather conditions to identify and clear obstacles that could impact track integrity and safety. • Determine critical locations such as curves and tangent points for alignment measurements. • Use templates to cut rails accurately and drill holes at specified positions for installation. • Select appropriate lengths and sizes of rails for rehabilitation works. • Coordinate the shifting and transportation of rails to the site using specified equipment like dip lorries or B.F.L, in compliance with KTMB instructions. • Prepare detailed reports on rail inspections, defect rectifications, and material utilization. • Maintain accurate records of tasks completed and provide updates to supervisors. • Supervise and guide team members on inspection and shifting tasks, ensuring quality standards are met. • Conduct briefings and training sessions to improve team competency and adherence to safety protocols. • Strictly follow the safety rules and procedures stated in the health and safety plan. • Communicate project progress and issues effectively with the Technical Track Specialist and Track Technical Manager. • Provide technical guidance during complex rail alignment, installation, and defect resolution scenarios. Assist in testing and commissioning processes to verify the functionality and safety of completed works. *Also required to travel to Gemas, Bahau, Mentakab, Segamat, Labis, Kulai & etc.
