Dental Assistant

Responsibilities:

Patient Assistance:

Welcome patients and ensure they feel comfortable before treatment.

Assist the dentist during dental procedures by preparing tools and materials.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices post-treatment.

Clinical Support:

Sterilize dental instruments and maintain cleanliness of the treatment rooms.

Set up and prepare instruments and materials for each procedure.

Monitor and replenish clinic supplies to ensure smooth operations.

Clinic Cleaning:

Perform daily cleaning tasks to maintain the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the clinic, including waiting areas, treatment rooms, and restrooms.

Dispose of waste materials properly and in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Ensure the clinic environment is clean, sanitized, and presentable for patients and staff.

Administrative Tasks:

Manage patient records and ensure accuracy in data entry.

Schedule appointments and follow up with patients on their next visits.

Process patient payments and issue receipts.

Team Collaboration:

Coordinate with the dentist and other team members to ensure smooth workflow.

Provide support in maintaining a professional and friendly clinic environment.

Other Duties:

Perform any other tasks as assigned by the management or dentist to support clinic operations.

Requirements:

Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent.

Experience as a Dental Assistant or in a healthcare setting is an advantage, but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Friendly, empathetic, and able to work well in a team.

Willingness to learn and adapt to clinic operations.

Able to perform cleaning tasks effectively and maintain hygiene standards.

Basic computer skills are a plus.
