Position Summary:

The Inbound Warehouse Assistant is responsible for supporting the Inbound Supervisor in overseeing the daily inbound operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming goods. This role involves assisting in the supervision of the inbound team, coordinating workflows, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Competencies:

1. Logistics and Supply Chain Management: Understanding of logistics principles, supply chain dynamics, and inventory management practices to optimize warehouse operations.

2. Team Leadership and Management: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of warehouse staff, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and adherence to safety protocol.

3. Inventory Control and Management: Proficiency in inventory control methods, including inventory tracking, cycle counting, and implementing best practices to minimize discrepancies and optimize stock levels.

4. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain orderly warehouse operations.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Support the inbound supervisor in managing daily inbound activities, ensuring that all incoming goods are received, inspected, and stored accurately and promptly.

2. Provide guidance and direction to warehouse associates, ensuring that they follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and meet performance goals.

3. Step in to lead the team in the absence of the Supervisor.

4. Assist in overseeing the accurate recording of inbound shipments, including verifying quantities, checking for damage, and ensuring proper storage procedures are followed.

5. Collaborate with other departments ( procurement, logistics, and inventory control)

6. Ensure all inbound shipments meet company quality standards, addressing any discrepancies or issues with the appropriate departments.

7. Identify opportunities to improve inbound processes, streamline workflows, and enhance overall efficiency. Assist in implementing process improvements as directed by the supervisor.

8. Ensure that all inbound operations adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards. Conduct safety checks and report any potential hazards.

9. Assist in generating reports on inbound activities, team performance, and inventory levels, providing insights and updates to the Warehouse Inbound supervisor.

10. Address and resolve any issues related to inbound shipments, such as delays, inventory discrepancies, or equipment malfunctions, in a timely manner.

11. To comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health instituted by the employer or any other person by or under OSHA 1994 or any regulation made there under (section 24: General duties of employees at work, OSHA 1994)

12. Ensure Material Handling Equipment (MHE) is inspected daily and used properly.

13. Responsible to take care of company assets and ensure all are in good condition.

14. Strictly adhere to the Company Handbook and memo issued by Human Resources (HR).

15. Any additional tasks as assigned by the superior.

  • Ability to operate Materials Handling Equipment (Forklift, Reach Truck, Power Pallet)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • SPM/Certificate with minimum 3 years experiences in daily warehouse operation and handling stock in/stock out
  • Previous experience in a similar position.
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.

Working Hours : 9am-6pm (Mon-Fri), 9am-2pm (Sat) - Rotational Shift Basis

Salary Range : RM2000-RM2500
