Overview

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Management Trainee in Retail Merchandising. This role provides comprehensive training and practical exposure to retail merchandising, preparing you for a dynamic career in managing product categories and driving business growth.

Job Description:

· Merchandising Training:

o Undergo a structured training program focused on retail merchandising processes, including product selection, vendor management, and sales analysis.

o Gain knowledge of inventory control, retail pricing strategies, and product promotions.

· Category Management:

o Assist in managing food or plantation-related product categories, ensuring the right product mix and availability.

o Collaborate with suppliers to optimize pricing, promotions, and product quality.

· Market Research and Analysis:

o Analyze consumer trends and competitor activities to support category strategy.

o Conduct basic market research to gather information on new products, pricing trends, and competitor activity.

o Provide feedback to the manager on customer preferences or popular trends observed in-store.

· Inventory and Stock Management:

o Work with the supply chain team to forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels.

o Address stock-related challenges, including replenishment and

turnover.

· In-store Execution:

o Ensure proper product placement, merchandising standards, and promotional displays in retail outlets.

o Collaborate with store teams to enhance customer experience and drive sales.

· Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

o Partner with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to align merchandising strategies with business objectives.

o Build strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.

· Performance Reporting:

o Prepare regular reports on category performance, sales trends, and inventory metrics.

o Provide insights and recommendations to improve product performance and profitability.

· Other Duties:

o Support promotional activities by coordinating the availability of featured products.

o Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Pay: RM2,100.00 per month
