Job Summary:
The SEN Vocational Teacher is responsible for providing specialized instruction to students with disabilities in a vocational setting, helping them develop job-specific skills and work readiness. This role involves creating and delivering individualized lesson plans, supporting students in hands-on vocational training, and assisting with job placements and internships. The teacher collaborates with staff, families, and community partners to ensure students are prepared for successful employment and independent living.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized vocational training programs based on students’ needs and goals.
- Teach job-specific skills in areas such as retail, office work, culinary arts, gardening and more.
- Provide classroom and hands-on instruction, focusing on practical skills and workplace readiness.
- Support students in work experience placements and internships, ensuring appropriate accommodations and guidance.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Vocational Education, or related field.
- Experience working with students with disabilities in a vocational or educational setting.
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and families to support student success.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,600.00 - RM3,300.00 per month
