Job Description: -Manage audit engagements from planning through to completion, including financial audits, compliance audits, and other special assignments. -Supervise and mentor junior auditors and audit assistants, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to a high standard. -Develop and maintain relationships with clients, providing them with valuable insights on financial and accounting matters. -Review and analyze audit work papers, financial statements, and tax returns prepared by the team to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant standards. -Offer technical expertise on complex audit issues, regulatory requirements, and accounting principles. -Draft and present audit reports, highlighting key findings and offering recommendations for improvements or corrective actions. -Ensure that all audits are performed in compliance with auditing standards, internal policies, and applicable regulations. -Assist in identifying opportunities to expand services with existing clients and support the firm in attracting new clients. -Stay up to date with new regulations, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, MFRS), and audit methodologies to ensure the firm’s audit processes are current. Requirements: -A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or MICPA are often required. -5–10 years of experience in auditing or accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role. -Strong understanding of auditing standards (e.g., MFRS, IFRS), tax laws, financial regulations, and internal controls. -Proficiency in accounting and auditing software (e.g., SAP, Caseware, Excel). Knowledge of accounting systems and software is often required. -Proven experience in managing and mentoring audit teams. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and provide clear audit reports and recommendations. -Ability to develop strong relationships with clients and be a trusted advisor on audit and financial matters. -Ability to manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously, meeting deadlines and managing resources efficiently. -High ethical standards, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
