  • Monitor the inventory and ordering of ingredients within your section, ensuring stock levels are maintained and minimizing waste.
  • Work with the Head Chef or Sous Chef to assist with menu planning and recipe development.
  • Ensure that food items are stored correctly, following proper food safety and hygiene guidelines.
  • Maintain the highest level of food quality, ensuring that every dish is consistently prepared and presented to meet standards.
  • Ensure all food served is fresh, hygienic, and safe to eat.
  • Perform regular checks on the temperature of food items, maintaining a strict adherence to food safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and follow health and safety regulations.
  • Adhere to sanitation and food safety standards in all areas of food preparation and storage.
  • Ensure that kitchen staff follow safe food handling practices at all times.
  • Work closely with other kitchen sections to ensure the smooth flow of food orders and efficient service.
  • Assist with the creation of new menu items and seasonal dishes as directed by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
  • Provide input on menu improvements, food cost control, and enhancing the overall dining experience.
