Responsible for overseeing a team of accounts payable specialists, and ensuring they process travel and expense (T&E) claims, invoices and payments accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and develop the Accounts Payable Team, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.
- Lead the AP team to manage efficiently, compliantly and timely the Source to Pay (STP) and Travel & Expense (T&E) reimbursement process; with continuous focus on process improvement.
- Contribute to cash optimization and ensure proper execution of payment terms.
- Ensure the timeliness and quality of monthly AP closing process, and justification of AP balances.
- Handle stakeholder inquiries promptly and professionally, with a focus on maintaining strong collaboration.
- Implement and document streamlined processes for the Accounts Payable Team to ensure efficient operations.
- Supervise the Accounts Payable team's activities, assisting in reconciling these activities with the general ledger.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to finalize month-end and year-end financials.
- Hands on processing of accounts payable and T&E as needed.
- Analyze information to identify opportunities for improvement and drive the implementation of continuous improvement (CI) projects; with the objectives of delivering efficiency, harmonization, compliance and add value.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and other reports to provide accurate and timely financial insights if needed.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in in related field previous work related experience required
Additional Skills:
- Proven successful project management expertise.
- Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel, financial systems, and ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP); Database tools (e.g., QlikView) preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and local language.
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills including internal negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives.
- Extensive understanding of financial procedures while defining team operating standards and ensuring essential procedures are followed based on knowledge of own discipline.
- Extensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), local GAAP, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
- Understanding of business acumen and company related products.
- Extensive understanding of related aspects of financial processes and/or systems.
- Ability to manage assigned team and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority with guidance and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations.
- Strict attention to detail.
- Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization.
- Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment.
- Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control.
