Job Responsibilities:
1) Bank Facilities Monitoring:
- Monitor and manage the company’s bank facilities, including loans, credit lines, and overdrafts.
- Track the utilization of bank facilities, ensuring compliance with the terms, covenants, and repayment schedules outlined in facility agreements.
- Work with the treasury team to ensure efficient use of available facilities, balancing short-term funding needs with long-term financing goals.
- Update senior management on the status of bank facilities, including any upcoming renewals, interest payments, or changes in terms.
2) Cash Flow and Liquidity Management:
- Integrate bank facility information into the company’s cash flow and liquidity forecasts.
- Help ensure the company maintains adequate liquidity to support operational needs, balancing cash inflows and outflows with available financing options.
3) Budgeting and Financial Forecasting:
- Assist in preparing financial budgets and forecasts, ensuring that debt obligations and interest payments are properly reflected.
- Provide insights into the financial impact of using or over-relying on bank facilities, incorporating these into the financial planning process.
4) Debt and Financing Strategy:
- Collaborate with management to develop and execute financing strategies that optimize the use of available bank facilities.
- Assist in the assessment of future financing needs based on projected cash flows, business plans, and market conditions.
5) Scenario Analysis and Risk Management:
- Conduct scenario analyses to evaluate the potential impact of varying financial conditions on the company’s debt structure.
- Identify and propose strategies to manage financial risk related to bank facilities, such as interest rate changes or covenant breaches.
6) Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with the covenants and reporting requirements outlined in bank facility agreements.
- Provide regular reports to management on the status of bank facilities, including any risks or concerns that may arise.
7) Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments to gather necessary information for financial planning and bank facility monitoring.
- Provide support to senior management in decision-making processes related to financing and cash flow.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACCA, or equivalent are an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, or financial analysis, preferably in the financial services or credit industry. Experience with bank facility management is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in financial software, Microsoft Excel, and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial analysis and reporting.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues, assess financial risk, and implement solutions to improve financial planning and bank facility management.
