Cost Accountant (New role based in Hunza Tower Gurney Paragon - Penang Island, Malaysia)

Job Descriptions:

• Supports multiple entities across APAC;
• Assists with the year-end financial audit and compliance audits;
• Accurate processing of month end journals (inventory related, fixed assets and costs) and inventory reconciliation;
• Assists in costs related variance analysis and investigations;
• Assists in overhead costs allocations;
• Assists with annual physical counts and cycle counts, including preparation, cutoffs, audit of counts and reconciliations;
• Maintain standard costs;
• Perform month-end costing accounting close;
• Generates labour utilization report on quarterly basis;
• Assists with fixed assets register maintenance including additions and disposals;
• Supports standardization and consolidation efforts and initiatives to allow for a shared service structure;
• Provides support to establish data mining and automation techniques and systems that enable more efficient analysis;
• Any other duties as assigned by Assistant Controller.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience (3-5 years);
• Experience in manufacturing industry;
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certification preferred;
• Excellent analytical skills with high data accuracy;
• Must be willing to work at Penang Island, Malaysia.
