This role requires strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and deep industry knowledge to ensure effective material planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management. The Supply Chain Technical Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, enhance cost efficiency, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. Responsibilities: Technical Expertise: • Possess a deep understanding of mechanical and electrical components, component specifications, and industry standards. • Analyze component specifications and engineering drawings to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and alternative solutions. • Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate component substitutions, design changes, and technical feasibility. Value Engineering and Cost/Leadtime Reduction: • Actively engage in value engineering initiatives to identify and implement cost-saving measures. • Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to optimize procurement costs. • Explore opportunities for component standardization, consolidation, and alternative sourcing. Supply Chain Optimization: • Monitor and optimize supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. • Develop Implement strategies to minimize lead times, reduce inventory levels, and improve overall supply chain efficiency. • Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions and risks. Cross-Functional Collaboration: • Work closely with customer, engineering, production, quality control, and finance teams to align supply chain strategies with company goals. • Support new product introductions (NPI) by ensuring supply chain readiness for ramp-up. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain processes. Project Management: • Manage complex procurement projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines and budgets. • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution. Compliance and Risk Management: • Ensure compliance with industry standards, including environmental and safety regulations. • Assess and mitigate supply chain risks related to supplier reliability, geopolitical factors, and market fluctuations. • Implement contingency plans for disruptions in the supply chain. Qualifications & Skills: • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial) or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or engineering roles within the semiconductor industry. • Strong technical knowledge of semiconductor components, materials, and manufacturing processes. • Proven track record in cost reduction, value engineering, and supply chain optimization.
