Solar Designer

Summary: The Solar Designer creates optimized PV layouts and engineering drawings for Large Scale Solar (LSS) and Rooftop projects. Responsibilities include using AutoCAD, Google SketchUp, and site data to design systems, assist engineers, prepare Bills of Quantities, and ensure quality and safety in project execution. Job Responsibilities : • Interpret and derive information from Google Maps and site visit reports to provide optimum PV layout design. • Design and prepare Engineering Drawings in AutoCAD format according to the procedures for Large Scale Solar (LSS) Farm and Rooftop projects from proposal drawing up to As-Built Drawings. • Amend drawing according to superior or client request. • Assist technical engineer with superior or client requests. • Assist technical engineer in Bill Quantity preparation. • Provide 3D modelling using Google Sketch-up software. • Communicate effectively with the Business Development Department, Project Support Department, Project (Rooftop) department and Project (LSS) department to provide optimised design. • Able to work independently and process initiative. • Self-motivated and hardworking. • track and manage owns' work record by making use of the project master list. • Ensure in coordination with site engineers that execution of works is to required quality and safety and resolves all technical problems for all trades. • Design in ways that are technically feasible while as economically as possible. • Coordinate with respective parties in all design development and approval processes. • Provide full set of submission drawings (PV Module layout, SLD & PVSyst) for residential projects. Job Requirements : • Education: Bachelor's Degree/Diploma from an accredited program. • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Year of Experience: 2 Years of professional experience performing solar engineering. • Language Proficiency (Spoken & Written): Bahasa & English. • Others: Well-versed in AutoCAD, PVSyst, Sketchup & Excel & candidates who have experience in doing LSS projects are prioritised.
