Key Features of The Role: The Vice President of Data Analytics and Strategy is responsible for two areas, analytics and strategy. This role involves guiding the development and execution of company wide analytics to support business growth, enhance operational efficiency, and improve decision-making. The VP will oversee the analytics team, manage strategic initiatives, and collaborate with senior leadership to align the company’s data and strategy efforts with its overall vision and objectives. Role Description Data Analytics Lead the analytics team in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to provide actionable insights. Develop and implement a comprehensive data analytics strategy that aligns with the company’s business goals. To develop and implement a comprehensive, holistic system, processes including detailed Standard Operating Procedures for collecting data for health tourism by working, collaborating and forming appropriate partnership with the Government, Private and relevant organisation both locally and internationally. Collect and analyze data from various sources, including internal systems, third-party tools, and market research, to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities To develop and implement framework for data analysis, data interpretation and data visualisation from the collected data based on the requirement of the company. To provide regular timely report, and adhoc report that is requested by the company. Develop and implement a comprehensive analytics strategy to support the organization's business objective. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders based on data analysis, helping them make informed decisions and drive business growth. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in analytics tools and technologies, and evaluate their potential to improve our data analysis capabilities. Drive data governance initiatives by establishing data quality standards, ensuring data accuracy, and implementing data security measures. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data infrastructure, systems, and tools are optimized to support efficient data collection, storage, and analysis. Effectively communicate complex analytical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations, reports, and visualization. Strategy To lead the development of the strategic and business plan for the company. To monitor the implementation of the company strategies and business plan on a regular schedule, to conduct review, to assess performance, to intervene in the event of shortfalls through a systematic approach with timely discussion with the top management. To provide regular reports of these reviews to the Top Management. Collaborate with other division to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards and reports to track and measure performance against these metrics. To provide market insights, assessment and forecast on the opportunities including partnerships outside of Malaysia. To continuously scan the opportunities in optimizing the value of Malaysia as the Center for Health Tourism in the region and the world, by working with the relevant sectors in the governmental, private both locally and internationally. Requirements: A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, MS in Data Science, or health care related) is preferred. A minimum 15 years of experience at least ten (10) years’ experience in data analytics, business intelligence, strategy, health or a related field, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in developing and implementing and managing data analytic business unit, experience in Healthcare Industry would be added advantage. Proven success in interacting with senior executive level management to determine solutions, resolve issues, and present recommendations. Display a high level of initiative, demonstrate a willingness to experiment, invite and explore potential new ideas while understanding the risks to the company, industry partners and/or related stakeholders. Proven track record in leading complex cross-functional teams and projects while maintaining an efficient plan, tracking issues, and proactively communicating progress against project milestones; high attention to detail. Well organised, with strong project management skills enabling successful delivery to deadlines and budgets; with negotiation skills and commercial acumen. Ability to motivate and inspire large and diverse teams, manage multiple projects on a real-time basis, and identify and resolve operational and integration challenges. Ability to grasp the big picture landscape, manage ambiguity, whilst having the creativity and skills in examining and re-engineering key operations and procedures, formulating policy, developing, and implementing new or improved strategies and initiatives. Highly motivated with good business instincts, active participation, possesses dynamic mindset and a go-getter. Have high integrity, accountability with strong passion towards nation building. Ability to govern and lead with unquestionable ethics and unswerving integrity. People person and have mastery over good networking that enable to work effectively and collaborate simultaneously across internal / external stakeholders. Excellent written and oral communications/ presentation skills, financial or data analysis skills and mastery in presentation and related software.
