Software Engineer

Role Summary Kinesso is currently seeking a Software Engineer to fill an immediate need. Responsibilities • Interface with project team to design, build, test, and deliver fault-tolerant and scalable solutions from ground up. • Supporting existing applications as well as developing new feature request based on business requirements. • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clean code • Contribute and ensure best practices for the software development life cycle are followed including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build process, testing, security, and operations • Effectively identify tasks from requirements, estimate work effort, and communicate status report • Identify opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change Requirements • 5+ years of experience developing multi-tiered web applications or distributed systems • Excellent frontend development skills using Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, Angular, JavaScript, and JQuery • Experience with commercial software development using modern programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, etc • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts and principles (SOLID principles) • Experience with Test Driven Development methodology and creating unit tests • Experience in relational database design • Strong in writing database query using T-SQL • Experience with branching, merging, versioning using Git and GitFlow • Experience with Agile development methodology • Familiarity with service-oriented architecture (SOA), developing micro-services with synchronous REST API/gRPC/GraphQL and asynchronous processing using message queue is a plus • Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) using Jenkins is a plus • Familiarity with AWS platform and services is a plus
