Overview:
Distribution Procedure
- To maintain the distribution procedure, this will enable the right sizes with the right quantity at the right stores.
- To ensure proper planning and setting of standards to achieve maximum sales with a minimum stock with a benchmark of maximum 15 weeks season end chain stock.
- To ensure the back-up stock in the warehouse for regular articles is adequate to allow for continuous supply with a benchmark of three to four weeks stock cover.
- To ensure store article level seasonal planning and coordinate with the merchandising team with regard to the requirement.
- To maintain a continuous flow of merchandising information to and from the stores and most importantly to the warehouse.
- To manage replenishment by route plan and follow dispatches at the warehouse.
- To review merchandising reports and sales statistics (S.I.R. Store Report etc.) and take merchandising action such as :-
Ship additional supplies to stores either by statement supply; special order or pre-pack.
Advise revision of assortment according to requirement.
Transfer goods from store to store as per business requirement, within geographical cluster.
Monitor and follow-up with the efficiency of merchandise movement from the warehouse to the stores. - To ensure that stock levels are in accordance with sales volume and the store stockroom capacity.
- To control target cover weeks at chain level as per company guideline of season end store stock of 15 weeks.
- To ensure target stock margins to enable the store to achieve the desired sales margin.
- To ensure that end of lifelines or seasonal items at the central warehouse are distributed to the store during peak periods.
- To ensure that ends of lifelines are regrouped to performing stores.
- To ensure all merchandise picked is sent to the stores on time.
General
- To study store stock statements on a regular basis.
- To Managing Bulk orders in coordination with retail as well as merchandising
- To periodically visit the stores and warehouse.
- To study and analyze market conditions, economic trends and competition.
- To continuously follow and monitor stores sales, stock margin, stock TALY and stock cover weeks.
- To provide feedback to buyers on the performance of new articles.
- To maintain and follow the route plan and make changes for closed and new stores from time to time.
Inventory Balancing
- Carry out minimum 2 regrouping exercises per annum with at least 40% adherence rate
- Ensure that the aged stock in RDC is <1% by pair for inventory with >6 months ageing
- Ensure >90% Full assortment availability in NOOS & Best Sellers
