  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Role of a Protégé:

Learning and Development

  • Gain insight into procurement strategies, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Observe and participate in planning, executing, and monitoring procurement processes within the construction industry.
  • Learn to analyze market trends, evaluate supplier performance, and understand procurement-related compliance requirements.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing purchase orders, procurement plans, and tender documents under mentor guidance.

Supportive Tasks

  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.
  • Help in maintaining accurate procurement records, including supplier contracts, invoices, and delivery schedules.
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies in procurement documentation or supplier deliveries.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to streamline the procurement process.

Cost and Budget Management

  • Contribute to cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting related to procurement activities.
  • Learn to analyze and manage cost variations and provide input for budget optimization.

Compliance and Ethics

  • Understand and adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements in procurement activities.
  • Support the mentor in ensuring ethical procurement practices, including transparent vendor selection and conflict-of-interest management.
