Technical Support Engineer – Batu Kawan, Penang • Support Sales to develop, optimize and design solutions to meet customers’ current and future requirements, in a manner that is consistent with the company mission, values and financial objectives. • Develop full appreciation of our product lines and make necessary engineering decision to support technical enquiry, product selection and recommendation. • Develop and maintain Trouble Shooting Manual, provide products installation & setup to customers & distributors, and responsible for printer service, troubleshooting & repairs, both in-house and on site. • Ensure the field issues resolved during deployment, consolidate field reports for detailed analysis, and escalates serious problems to superior & sales leader. • Documents all service activities, & compile tracking report / update on timely basis (report consist of field service activities, technical solutions provided to customers, technical learning for sharing, etc.). • Provide technical/Product training, application training & maintenance training for distributors, customers & internal teams, whenever necessary. • Resolve technical issues and provide printer support per customer service contract, and manage/maintain the status of all on going and future projects. • Identify customer’s needs and new sales opportunities, work with sales team to sustain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities. • Ensure continual upgrade of “the company” Products Solution knowledge with Marketing, Product/R&D Team. • Spare parts & consumable inventory management – maintain safety stock level. • Printer demo units management – ensure all demo printer in good working condition. • To support and comply with the “the company” Corporation Global Policies, “the company” Policy, Quality Policy, Environmental Policy, Safety & Health Policy and other organization policies that are relevant to job functions. To be responsible, accountable and committed to fulfil the codes and statements prescribed in the policies. • The above responsibilities are not exhaustive and other related duties may be added from time to time. Requirements: • Degree in Mechanical / Electronics / Industrial / IT / Engineering Management. • Working experience in equipment trouble-shooting & repair, equipment & facility maintenance, Industrial automation, system integration, or software developments. • Experience in key industries and key geographical locations such as Pharma, Automotive, Electronics and Contract Manufacturing segment within Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia would be advantageous. • Possess strong technical background in equipment / automation / software / facility & equipment maintenance. • Good written & spoken English. Other languages will be an advantage. • Experience with thermal transfer printers, barcode/RFID scanners and applications software would be an advantage. • Good project and time management skills. • Creative with strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. • Excellent team player with good interpersonal skills. • Willing to travel within SEA region. • Able to work independently.
