Role & Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreement and other legal documents related to the businesses of the Company,
- Conduct legal research and to keep abreast of new laws and regulations applicable to the Company and its businesses and advise the management on any potential legal issues/risks arising therefrom.
- Identify legal or contractual issues and develop new approaches to resolve complex issues.
- Advising on contract status, legal risk and the legal liabilities.
- Provide legal advice and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Liaise with external solicitors, banks, corporate clients, etc. for legal matters.
- Keep a list for all Legal Documents and ensure the filing of Legal Documents is in order.
- Ad-hoc assignments as may be assigned by the HOD/management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Law or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years working experience as In-House Counsel or in related fields.
- Is knowledgeable in of corporate law, commercial law and regulatory compliance.
- Able to negotiate, communicate and maintain strong relationships within relevant stakeholders.
- Ability to balance legal risks and provide practical legal advice whilst supporting the business needs of the Company.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
- Good team player with ability to work independently & under pressure.
