Role & Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreement and other legal documents related to the businesses of the Company,
  • Conduct legal research and to keep abreast of new laws and regulations applicable to the Company and its businesses and advise the management on any potential legal issues/risks arising therefrom.
  • Identify legal or contractual issues and develop new approaches to resolve complex issues.
  • Advising on contract status, legal risk and the legal liabilities.
  • Provide legal advice and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Liaise with external solicitors, banks, corporate clients, etc. for legal matters.
  • Keep a list for all Legal Documents and ensure the filing of Legal Documents is in order.
  • Ad-hoc assignments as may be assigned by the HOD/management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Law or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience as In-House Counsel or in related fields.
  • Is knowledgeable in of corporate law, commercial law and regulatory compliance.
  • Able to negotiate, communicate and maintain strong relationships within relevant stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance legal risks and provide practical legal advice whilst supporting the business needs of the Company.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
  • Good team player with ability to work independently & under pressure.
