Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluating patients’ medical histories to ensure the various medical imaging procedures will not harm them.
- Suggesting alternative medical imaging techniques, when necessary.
- Informing patients about the medical imaging process.
- Using devices such as computer tomography (CT) scanners and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines.
To exercise the following functions of a radiographer described as follows: -
- To produce radiograph of optimal diagnostic quality
- To minimize wastage of x-ray films, CD, envelopes and all relevant resources.
- To organize work systematically so as to maximize use of the rooms and staff
- Reduce patient waiting time
- To maintain a good team work and conducive working environment.
- To assist the radiologist / radio oncologist in special procedures as and when necessary.
- In C-arm procedures, the image intensifying is to be cleaned and kept in a proper place after every procedure.
- To assist Imaging Manager in preparing the monthly report.
To extend quality patient related services accordingly described as follows: -
- To exercise proper patient care.
- To explain and ensure patient understands the nature of the procedures.
- To inform the patient accordingly on delays in any radiology procedures.
- To check patient’s particulars with the request form and ensure correct procedures are carried out for the right patient.
- To ensure that patients are properly prepared before special procedures.
- To assist radiologist in performing the procedures.
- To ensure equipment’s are functioning properly.
- To operate the equipment’s in a manner that is suitable to its operating procedures.
- To report any malfunction or breakdown of equipment as soon as possible to the Imaging Manager.
Radiographer Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field.
- Proficient in general radiology techniques, including X-ray, MRI, and ultrasound.
- Patient management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Superb problem-solving skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,700.00 per month
