The Preschool Principal is the leader and administrative head. You are responsible for overseeing all aspects of preschool operations. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong commitment to early childhood education, a passion for nurturing young learners, and the ability to foster a collaborative and supportive school environment. The Preschool Principal ensures that the educational programs meet high standards of quality, aligning with the school’s mission and vision while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. A critical component of this role is to actively drive student enrollment and retention efforts to sustain and grow the school's population.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Management:

  • Provide visionary leadership to create a nurturing and stimulating educational environment.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and goals for the preschool.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate teaching and support staff to ensure high-quality instruction and professional development.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in teaching practices and curriculum development.

2. Curriculum and Instruction:

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and assessment of age-appropriate curriculum and educational programs.
  • Ensure that the curriculum aligns with early childhood education standards and promotes the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development of students.
  • Promote the use of diverse and inclusive teaching methods and materials.

Student and Family Engagement:

  • Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for students, families, and the community.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents and caregivers, addressing their concerns and fostering strong home-school partnerships.
  • Organize and participate in family-oriented events and activities.

4. Operations and Administration:

  • Manage the daily operations of the preschool, including budgeting, scheduling, and facility maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements, health and safety regulations, and school policies.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the preschool.

5. Staff Development:

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support staff growth.
  • Promote a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging professional development and teamwork.

6. Additional Duties:

  • Assist teachers in enhancing their teaching skills, positive communication with students.
  • Train teachers in areas such as classroom management, behavior management and more.
  • Conduct classroom observation for inspection and to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Problem solves at your branch to ensure smooth operations.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Student Enrollment Growth: Increase the number of new student enrollments each academic year.
  • Student Retention Rate: Maintain a high retention rate of current students, minimizing withdrawals and ensuring a stable student body.
  • Family Satisfaction: Achieve high satisfaction ratings from families through regular surveys and feedback mechanisms.
  • Staff Development and Retention: Ensure professional growth opportunities for staff and maintain low turnover rates.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From RM3,500.00 per month
