About us:

Kechara Soup Kitchen (KSK) has been serving marginalised communities in Malaysia for over 16 years; these include the homeless, urban poor and Orang Asli populations. In recent years we have strategically expanded our focus upstream of the poverty curve to reach the urban poor via our Food Bank and Empowerment Programs. These programs aim to provide assistance to the most vulnerable segments of our community before they fall into complete poverty and hardship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social Media Management: Stay updated on Facebook and Instagram features and trends, and manage content across platforms.
  • Content Creation: Utilize basic technical skills to execute social media ideas, including photo editing (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) and video editing (e.g., Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
  • Fluent Communication: Write and edit engaging copy in English for various social media posts.
  • Research and Curation: Conduct independent research to source relevant news and materials, collaborating weekly with Joshua to curate and create:
  • News posts
  • Reel/User-Generated Content (UGC) ideas
  • Short video concepts
  • Educational and awareness content
  • Light-hearted content
  • Influencer content (editing, promotion, and post design)
  • Posters for giveaways, contests, and festive occasions
  • Instagram Stories to engage followers
  • New content slot ideas
  • Content Calendar Management: Ensure a continuous and sufficient supply of content according to the social media calendar, including:
  • Editing on-ground images from the team
  • Timely editing of original videos and familiarity with Reels
  • LinkedIn Articles: Post articles on LinkedIn twice a week to enhance organizational visibility.
  • Twitter Conversion: Convert existing social media posts to Twitter daily.
  • Coordinating marketing campaigns and events
  • Managing logistics for promotional activities
  • Analyzing marketing performance and generating reports
  • Marketing Support: Assist the marketing team with administrative tasks, including
  • Coordinating marketing campaigns and events

  • Community Engagement: Foster relationships with volunteers, donors, and community members through social media interactions and outreach efforts.

Requirements

  • Education: Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Two years of experience in social media or content creation is a plus.
  • Availability: Ability to start immediately is an advantage.
  • Attitude: A positive working attitude and a willingness to learn are essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month

Supplemental Pay:
