1. Ensure the highest food quality and appropriate to the market by assisting the Executive Head Chef in all areas of kitchen operations. 2. Adheres Petite Café Group’s standard of food quality, preparation, recipes and presentation. 3. Ensure proper staffing and adequate supplies for all stations. 4. Supervises the proper set–up of each item on menus and ensures their readiness. 5. Oversees the seasonings, portions and appearance of food service in the operation. 6. Stores unused food properly to minimize waste and maximize quality. 7. Works closely with Chefs to ensure correct preparation and delivery times are kept and food quality is maintained. 8. Assures proper safety, hygiene and sanitation practices are followed. 9. Assists Executive Chef in checking and ordering fresh products and dry storage items required by the kitchen. 10. Confers closely and regularly with the executive Chef and takes every opportunity to become familiar with all aspects of his or her position, in order to be ready to fill in whenever required. 12. Ensures that emergency procedures are practised and enforced to provide for the security and safety of guest and employees. 13. Ensures that employees work in a safe manner that does harm or injure self or others. Knows how to protect self against chemical, and is aware of harmful chemicals used. 14. To carry out any reasonable duty to assist in the smooth running of the company. 15. Willing to work at Alice Smith Secondary School at Equine Park, Seri Kembangan.
