We are looking for a skilled and motivated Agile Product Owner to join our team and drive the development and continuous improvement of our digital streaming platform. In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including engineering, design, and marketing—to deliver impactful features and enhancements that elevate user satisfaction while aligning with our business objectives. The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in Agile product management and a proven track record working with digital streaming solutions in the entertainment industry. To ensure effective communication and overlap with U.S. business hours, the successful candidate must be able to start work at 4 a.m. Malaysia time, while also coordinating with team members in Malaysia Key Responsibilities: Product Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate a compelling product vision aligned with company goals. Develop and manage a product roadmap that balances short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives. Product Definition: Define product requirements by writing complete stories, including full use cases, user journey, state transitions, and acceptance requirements so each requirement artifact fully meets the companies “definition of done”. Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and maintain a detailed and actionable product backlog, ensuring that features and user stories are clearly defined and deliver measurable value. Agile Execution: Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) to ensure a continuous delivery of high-quality features. Act as the main point of contact between the development team and stakeholders. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders (business, marketing, UX/UI, legal, etc.) to gather requirements and feedback, ensuring that product features meet user needs and align with business objectives. User-Centric Focus: Champion the voice of the customer by working closely with UX/UI teams and conducting user research to ensure product features meet consumer expectations and enhance the overall user experience. Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay on top of industry trends, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement in the digital streaming space. Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Track and analyze key performance metrics (KPIs) for the product, using data to drive informed decisions and iterative improvements. Collaborate with data analysts to assess the impact of features and make data-driven adjustments. Quality Assurance: Ensure the product meets high standards of quality, working with QA teams to ensure thorough testing and timely delivery of product releases. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Agile Product Owner or Product Manager, specializing in digital streaming products within the entertainment sector (e.g., video, music, gaming, or live-streaming platforms). Proficiency in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as Jira and Confluence. Strong knowledge of the digital entertainment landscape, including OTT (over-the-top) services, subscription models, content distribution, and streaming technologies. Familiarity with monetization strategies, content rights management, and DRM (Digital Rights Management) specific to entertainment platforms. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements. Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to prioritize and manage competing tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Knowledge of digital streaming technologies, APIs, CDNs, and player integrations. Hands-on experience with A/B testing and performance optimization for streaming platforms. Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or other Agile certifications is an advantage.
