R&D Engineer

As an R&D Engineer, you will research, design, and develop automation equipment and integrate automation modules to fulfil turnkey agricultural solutions. They will also be responsible for leading other team members in projects, implementing new automation sub-modules, preparing and maintaining project documentation, and supporting customer requests, including troubleshooting and customization. Summary of Key Responsibilities - Research, design, and develop agricultural automation equipment and integrate automation modules to create turnkey agricultural solutions. - Design 3D drawings for agricultural automation systems, greenhouses, and hi-tech farming mechanisms. - Develop advanced agricultural technology & Industrial 4.0 solutions, including sensor applications, communication gateways, and programming. - Lead and mentor junior team members on projects. - Implement new and existing automation sub-modules. - Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation. - Provide hardware-related customer support, including troubleshooting and customization. - Participate in the daily operations of greenhouses, production rooms, and other farming facilities to gain hands-on experience in hi-tech farming practices. Qualifications - Min of. a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronics preferred) - 3-5 years of relevant work experience in agricultural automation or a related field - Proficiency in Solidworks and PLC Programming. - Experience with sensor applications, communication gateways, and Industrial 4.0 technologies. - Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and fabrication processes. - Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Preferred Skills - Experience with Orcad/Circuits Software. - Familiarity with Sketchup 3D.
