Supply Chain Sustainability Specialist

1. Sustainable Program Planning and Team Collaboration Program Leadership: Drive and manage sustainability initiatives to meet the organization’s objectives. Lead strategic planning, coordination, and implementation of sustainability programs focused on ethical sourcing, environmental impact, and labor rights. Team Development: Mentor and guide team members, promoting a collaborative and solutions-oriented to supply chain to enhance program effectiveness. Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present progress reports, highlighting achievements and identifying challenges in sustainability efforts. Ensure open communication across teams and senior management to foster transparency and alignment. 2. Enhancing Worker Voice and Support Mechanisms Field Research and Assessment: Conduct workplace interviews with management and HR, organize field visits, and participate in data collection for worker satisfaction surveys and recruitment system assessments. 3. Worker Empowerment and Sustainable Engagement Empowerment Programs: Lead the planning and execution of initiatives to empower workers across supply chains, educating them on their rights and providing platforms for voice and feedback. Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain active relationships with civil society organizations (CSOs) and migrant worker communities to strengthen engagement in sustainability efforts and collaborate on projects. Resource Development: Design and produce resources tailored to business partners and stakeholders based on worker feedback, supporting worker-led advocacy and empowerment. 4. Strengthening Civil Society and Stakeholder Collaboration in Malaysia Building Sustainable Partnerships: Foster and sustain partnerships with CSOs, creating networks that facilitate sharing of best practices and collaboration on ethical supply chain issues. Multi-Stakeholder Events: Organize and participate in workshops and events that focus on labor rights, sustainable practices, and responsible sourcing. Regional Network Development: Work closely with program teams to establish cross-regional networks that support sustainable supply chain efforts and enhance the impact of the ILM Action Network activities.
