- Deliver planogram creation and maintenance to meet business needs of regularly scheduled and adhoc requests for merchandise sets, new stores, remodels and special projects.
- Collaborate with Category Management to create visually compelling planograms based on store clustering, space definitions and defined flow, adhering to agreed service level agreements (SLA).
- Evaluate planogram performance and effectiveness to provide actionable insights and optimize product placement across different store formats; and articulate the findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities and challenges to enhance space performance, propose innovation solutions, and implement category assortment optimization strategies.
- Develop strategic macro space layouts for new stores and analyzing existing performance to ensure optimal category space for maximizing sales and customer flow.
- Work closely with Format managers to create and maintain store plans and integrate relevant planograms.
- Maintaining a high-quality database in support of the software system.
- Stay current with industry trends and competitor strategies to incorporate best practices into the design.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in space planning and merchandising operations, providing guidance and support across various projects and initiatives.
- The role offers a diverse range of responsibilities with opportunities to work on micro (planogramming), macro (store layout), and range assortment modelling.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a retail environment, with a solid understanding of retail industry trends, consumer behavior, and product merchandising concepts.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in any space planning software (Spaceman preferred and/or AutoCAD).
- Competent with Excel & Word.
- Strong analytical capabilities and experience with data-driven decision making.
- Proven ability to engage and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and influencing skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills to enable more data science driven space planning initiatives.
- Eagerness to learn, ability to work independently, and manage tight deadlines and a fluid workload.
- Location: Cyberjaya (hybrid mode)
- Contract duration: 12 months
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM
- Allowances: RM500/month for Mandarin Language Allowance
- Salary offered: Open to negotiation
