• To plan the yearly Training Budget for the hotel and ensure all training expenses are kept in line with the allocation. • To maximize the utilization of Hotel Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) source in funding all training expenses and activities. • Responsible to process all grant application and claims from Human Resources Fund (HRDF). • To establish and retain proper records pertaining training expenses and transaction for ease of audit and future reference. • To ensure yearly target on training expenses reimbursement from Human Resources Development Fund are met. • To assist the DOHRT in the smooth and efficient running of the Training Department, ensuring that all policies and procedures outlined in the Departmental Operations Manual are strictly adhered to. • To assist in the preparation and update the Training Operations manual. • To establish and develop training database that enable a measurement of training hours for the Hotel. • To consistently update the database and submit monthly training hours achieved by departments / trainers latest by 5th of the month. • To prepare and submit all other Hotel / Group / Statutory report accurately and timely. • To support the hotel’s focus on service excellence by conducting training and assisting others to train people to provide exceptional service to the hotel’s internal / external customers (guests). • To manage an up-to-date Training Centre fully-equipped with training facilities and ensure the safety & security of training facilities, equipment’s and materials stored. • To advise the DOHRT / PI Manager of any new training material that would be beneficial to the hotel. • To maximise the usage of Employee Communication System within the hotel as to keep employees informed on all training activities. • To take full responsibility to conduct the hotel induction / familiarisation program for all new hires that includes permanent / casual / Interns. • To ensure an effective induction program being established and carried out to all staff that includes the communication and implementation of all in-house rules & regulations. • To ensure the induction programmes slides and information are up to date at all times. • To develop effective links & networking with organizations such as Universities and Colleges. • To interview and process internship applications. Build rapport with establish colleges and higher education institutions locally and internationally. • To process internship application that includes obtaining necessary documentation on application and for submission to immigration department / income-tax departments ie. Resumes, School correspondences, Anti-Typhoid Immunisation, passport copies, certificates, MOU, agreements etc. • To establish and maintain Interns database, prepare schedule, monitor attendance, coordinate appraisal / assessments, attend to disciplinary matters and prepare certificate of completion for interns. • To attend to any interns discrepancy / misconduct matters at soonest time possible and ensure matters highlighted resolved in most amicable manner. Matters must be updated / highlighted to PI Manager / DOHRT. • To manage hostel occupancy, ensure rental and utility bills are paid in time. Monitor utility cost to minimize the potential abuse of hostel facilities.
