Job Summary:
The Commerce Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and overseeing the ecommerce department's strategic initiatives, sales operations, and expansion efforts. This position requires a dynamic “doer” with a background in e-commerce, digital marketing, planning and partnerships. Reporting in to the Head of Partnerships you will be required to plan and execute the ecommerce strategy as laid out by the company.
Key Responsibilities:
• eCommerce Platform & Marketplace Management: Oversee the sale of digital content (e-vouchers) across a variety of eCommerce platforms (such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento) and major digital marketplaces (Amazon, Lazada, Shopee, eBay) across the APAC region. Ensure seamless integration with these platforms, including payment systems, logistics, and product listings.
• Market Ecosystem & Strategy Development: Develop a comprehensive understanding of local digital goods markets, including trends, competitor analysis, and opportunities for growth. Leverage this knowledge to optimize product offerings and enhance our footprint within the region.
• Collaborative Solution Development: Work closely with local marketplace partners to design customized digital goods solutions. Collaborate with internal teams (product, tech, marketing) to ensure smooth implementation, ongoing support, and success.
• Partnership & Stakeholder Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with channels, partners, and key stakeholders. Identify and pursue new opportunities for strategic, value-driven partnerships and initiatives that drive business growth.
• Marketing Campaign Management & Optimization: Strategize, implement, and optimize “always-on” marketing campaigns across all markets, including pricing strategies, display optimization, and performance tracking. Maintain and improve ROI/KPI metrics for campaigns.
• Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring: Use data insights and tools like Google Analytics to monitor performance across platforms, track sales, and analyze key performance metrics. Identify areas of improvement to enhance customer engagement and optimize sales results.
• Customer Experience & Catalog Management: Ensure a smooth customer experience by managing product catalog content, including descriptions, images, and pricing across owned eCommerce sites and external marketplaces. Focus on improving the customer journey and optimizing the checkout process.
• Affiliate Marketing & Social Media Campaigns: Develop and manage affiliate marketing strategies and oversee the creation of social media campaigns. This includes ideation, content creation, copywriting, translation, and campaign landing page setup to boost engagement and drive traffic.
• Reporting & Performance Tracking: Provide regular updates on the status of campaigns, partnerships, and performance across platforms. Maintain weekly reports for each strategic partnership, ensuring all deliverables are tracked and performance is continuously optimized.
• Sales & Negotiation: Negotiate terms and close sales with partners and clients, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
• Event Representation: Represent the organization at trade exhibitions, events, and networking opportunities as needed, showcasing our products and fostering new business relationships.
Key Requirements:
• Proven expertise in managing eCommerce platforms and marketplace storefronts, combined with advanced knowledge of digital marketing strategies to drive traffic, optimize conversions, and enhance ROI.
• Ability to work with internal teams across multiple departments
• Knowledgeable in consumer brands and trends in Asia, especially Singapore and Malaysia
• Strategic thinker with a long-term approach to relationships
• A sense of urgency, in particular for helping push expiring content quickly and efficiently
• Have a flair in negotiation and able to present ideas and convince stakeholders
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in related fields of work
• Good commercial awareness and able to multi-task
• Systematic and meticulous with an eye for detail
• Excellent written communication and communication skill. Fluent in English.
• A start-up attitude – highly collaborative and able to display roll-up-your sleeves attitude.
• Team Player with the ability to work with different functions in a fast paced environment and constantly evolving environment. Able to work independently when required.
