We are looking for a backend engineer who is proficient with Magento. Experience in developing web applications using Magento. The candidate should have a strong understanding of web development principles / mobile applications and should be able to create responsive web pages. You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain.You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and optimize scalable backend solutions using Magento to support e-commerce platforms and business needs. Build and extend Magento modules and ensure seamless integration with third-party services and APIs. Optimize and maintain database performance, ensuring data integrity and scalability in Magento-driven environments. Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards for Magento development. Identify and resolve backend issues in Magento, improving system performance and minimizing downtime. Work closely with front-end developers, UX designers, and project managers to deliver cohesive and efficient e-commerce solutions. Implement robust security practices in Magento to protect sensitive customer and transactional data. Analyze and enhance the performance of Magento websites by refining backend architecture and configurations. Monitor advancements in Magento technology and integrate innovative features to maintain competitive advantage. Prerequisites A minimum of Diploma/ Degree in Computer Science, or any other IT related field. At least 5 years of hands-on experience in developing and maintaining Magento-based solutions, including Magento 2. Proficiency in PHP and experience with frameworks such as Zend or Symfony. Strong understanding of relational databases, particularly MySQL, and optimization for Magento performance. Experience in designing and implementing RESTful and GraphQL APIs within the Magento ecosystem. Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code following Magento coding standards and best practices. Expertise in identifying and resolving bottlenecks in Magento applications to ensure scalability and performance. Experience with version control tools like Git and working in a team environment using Agile methodologies. Familiarity with secure coding practices and managing vulnerabilities within Magento platforms. Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural decisions.
