• You shall assist with the overall clinic workflow, flow of patients, operations of the clinic, and all things related to diagnostic imaging. • You shall assist in registration, procedures such as ultrasound under the supervision of a radiologist, and any procedures to assist the doctor. • You shall assess patients and their clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic techniques and produce good-quality images. • You shall observe and maintain contact with patients during their waiting, examination and post-examination stay in the department. • You shall work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team to ensure that efficient service is provided to patients • You shall use initiative to prioritise, deliver and time-manage workload effectively and plan efficient control of workflow patterns within the department. • You shall provide support and reassurance to patients, taking into account their physical and psychological needs. • You shall position patients safely for examinations and, if necessary, adapt standard techniques, depending on medical conditions associated with disability, illness, or trauma. • You shall record image identification and patient documentation quickly and accurately and observe protocols. • You shall learn new techniques and technologies as required by professional bodies and participate in annual performance appraisal programmes. • You shall supervise assistant practitioners, students and other staff, and deliver appropriate training; inform other staff regarding radiation protection issues. • You shall understand and observe health and safety at work and welfare issues, including ionising radiation regulations, to protect yourself and others. • You shall undertake quality control on X-rays and associated equipment and contribute to quality assurance and audit initiatives. • You shall ensure that equipment is regularly checked for malfunctions and any faults are reported. • You shall report incidents of injury to yourself or others according to departmental procedures. Requirement: • At least a Diploma in Medical Imaging or in a relevant field. • At least 1 - 2 years of relevant working experience. • Excellent communication skills. • Pro-active and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as participate within the team. • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, possess a mature attitude and be a good team player. • Possess own transport.
