Job Description:

The Human Resource Executive (Industrial Relations) will be responsible for managing and resolving labor relations issues, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations, and promoting a harmonious working environment between the organization and its employees. This role will require close interaction with management, employees, and external parties to address workplace disputes, implement company policies, and maintain positive industrial relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Labor Relations Management:
  • Handle employee grievances, complaints, and disputes in a fair and timely manner.
  • Negotiate and mediate between the company and employees or labor unions to resolve conflicts.
  • Advise management on labor law compliance and industrial relations matters.
  • Facilitate negotiations during collective bargaining and assist in drafting agreements.
  • Compliance with Labor Laws:
  • Ensure the organization adheres to all relevant labor laws, including regulations on working hours, wages, benefits, and safety standards.
  • Monitor changes in labor laws and update policies and practices accordingly.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all labor-related documentation, such as contracts, agreements, and disciplinary actions.
  • Employee Engagement and Relations:
  • Foster positive employee relations by promoting open communication between management and staff.
  • Organize and facilitate employee engagement activities to enhance morale and workplace satisfaction.
  • Counsel employees on company policies, benefits, and labor rights.
  • Disciplinary Action and Performance Management:
  • Advise managers on handling disciplinary actions and performance management issues.
  • Ensure that all disciplinary actions are carried out in accordance with company policies and labor laws.
  • Investigate workplace misconduct and prepare reports for management.
  • Training and Development:
  • Conduct training sessions for management and staff on industrial relations practices, labor laws, and conflict resolution techniques.
  • Support management in the implementation of fair and transparent performance management systems.
  • Health, Safety, and Welfare:
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and assist in resolving related issues.
  • Monitor and address employee welfare concerns, including working conditions and benefits.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of all industrial relations matters, including negotiations, disputes, and agreements.
  • Generate reports on industrial relations trends, issues, and resolutions for senior management review.
  • Policy Development:
  • Assist in developing and updating company policies related to industrial relations, labor law compliance, and employee conduct.
  • Recommend changes to policies and procedures to improve employee relations and legal compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in industrial relations, employee relations, or HR management.
  • Knowledge of local labor laws, industrial relations practices, and dispute resolution methods.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and mediate effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with employees, management, and external agencies.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and administrative skills.

Working Conditions:
