Key Responsibilities:

  • BIM Execution Plan Implementation: Oversees the execution and adherence to the project's BIM Execution Plan, ensuring seamless integration of BIM methodologies and standards.
  • Design Coordination: Facilitates effective collaboration and coordination among various design disciplines (Architectural, Structural, MEP, Civil) to achieve optimal design integration and minimize clashes.
  • Data Management: Manages the flow of BIM data, both internally and externally, ensuring data quality, consistency, and security. Validates the level of detail (LOD) and content of BIM models as per BEP.
  • Deliverable Management: Takes ownership of BIM deliverables, coordinating with clients to ensure timely and accurate delivery in accordance with project requirements.
  • External Coordination: Liaises with external stakeholders (consultants, contractors, etc) to maintain alignment and update progress models.
  • Clash Detection and Resolution: Conducts clash detection and resolution sessions using Navisworks Manage. Develops and delivers detailed clash reports to relevant parties.
  • Virtual Design and Construction (VDC): Leads and participates in VDC meetings and reviews, leveraging BIM tools to visualize and analyse design and construction processes.
  • BIM Training and Support: Provides training and support on BIM tools (Naviswork / Revit / AutoCAD / Civil 3D) to project team members and external stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensures adherence to BIM standards and best practices, implementing quality control measures to maintain high-quality BIM deliverables.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Core Technical Skills:

  • BIM Software Proficiency: Deep understanding and practical application of BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • BIM Standards and Protocols: Knowledge of industry standards (BIM Level 2, COBie, etc.) and ability to apply them to project workflows.
  • Clash Detection and Resolution: Expertise in identifying and resolving clashes, coordinating with various design disciplines.
  • Data Management and Interoperability: Proficiency in managing and exchanging BIM data, ensuring data consistency and interoperability between different software platforms.

Soft Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective communication with diverse stakeholders (architects, engineers, contractors, clients) to ensure clear understanding and collaboration.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues, leveraging critical thinking and problem-solving techniques.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in BIM models and deliverables.
  • Time Management and Organization: Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Experience:

  • Fast-Tracked Projects: Experience in fast-paced project environments, such as data centers or factory expansions.
  • Full BIM Implementation Projects: Hands-on experience in implementing BIM from the early design stages to construction and handover.
  • Interdisciplinary Coordination: Proven ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP, civil) to ensure design integration.
  • At least 10 years working experience in related field.
  • Location is in Kota Kinabalu & Penang.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 76 months

Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
