- Conduct regular medical screenings, pre-employment health checks, and routine physical assessments.
- Provide first aid for workplace injuries or illnesses and manage medical emergencies.
- Coordinate with external healthcare providers for further medical treatment when necessary.
- Collaborate with the health and safety team to assess workplace hazards and implement preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with national occupational health regulations.
- Organize and lead health campaigns, vaccination drives, mental health initiatives, and other wellness activities.
- Educate employees on health and safety practices, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
- Document and manage injury/illness reports, follow-up on recovery, and support the employee's return to work.
- Liaise with insurance companies, doctors, and management regarding workplace injury claims.
- Maintain an inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring they are available and functioning properly.
- Keep accurate and confidential medical records of employees.
- Prepare and submit health reports to management and relevant authorities, if required.
- Responsible for managing Company First Aid Room operation including:
- Assisting employee medical examination, treatment and dispensing of medication.
- Controlling and monitoring of supplies and medications stocks.
- Ensuring patients’ data are recorded and up to date.
- Provide first aid assistance to employee or contacts any of the panel doctors or hospital to arrange for further treatment, when needed.
- Liaise with health benefit administration vendor and handle inquiry from employees related to health benefit.
- Maintain and replenish items for first aid box on request.
- Monitor, comply and analyse information/data related to employee health issues, which are known or suspected of being real or potential detriments to health.
- Develop and organize employee health awareness program.
- Organize medical surveillance activities, conduct audiometric test and medical surveillance test.
- Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the superior from time to time.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing
- Possess an active APC and registered with Malaysian Nursing board
- Obtained Occupation Health Nurse Level 1 or 2
- Understand OSH requirements at the construction site.
- Good interpersonal skills and able to work as a team.
- Independent, exhibit strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Communication skills in English & Bahasa Malaysia
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
