KEY JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for overall product engineering support from yield, scrap cost, design for manufacturability, process standardization and process simplification. • Responsible and involved specifically in 2x200G and 2x400G, 800G, 1.6T and above 1.6T products to cater for 5G market and beyond in wireless transceivers for a high bandwidth, high speed product applications in telecommunications, data centre networking markets and as well as cloud computing. • Early involvement for new product introduction and process development during EVT stage • Working closely with R&D on product performance enhancement with low cost in mind • Transceivers Verification/testing at module level. • Coordinate SPVT and EPVT to ensure specification compliance at design corners. • Create BOM and test spec to help NPI team to introduce the new products. • Work closely with process team to ensure they meet the quarterly set KPI goal for the department • Work closely with product costing team to ensure scrap projection accurateo-work with Ipoh test development and production team. • Work out test plan and perform the test according to the plan. • Work with New Product Introduction (NPI) team to improve the Yield. • Communicate with different sites. • Travel to work with the production team during critical phases of development SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: • Master or Bachelor in Optics, Electronics, Mechanics, Automation, and other related majors, with strong electrical and communication background. • Experience on telecommunication industry, working experience in Transceiver product is preferred. • In-depth understanding on principles of transceiver is preferred. • Good knowledge and experience of optical modeling and simulation for communication system; • Profound understanding of active components including high speed laser and photodiode are preferred; • Working experience in Optical communication industry are preferred. • Strong problem-solving capabilities. • Excellent communication skills in English. • Good skill in module and system testing. • Ability to have good communication skill with internal and external. • Key person in new production introduction process - responsible for product BOM structure set up, test configuration definition and qualification. • Product troubleshooting and qualification during development phase. • Product transfer to manufacturing and trainings to manufacturing engineer. • Working with a skilled team of R&D engineers.
